Program Criteria

As Texas’ first urgent care provider to achieve Urgent Care Center Accreditation through the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine (AAUCM), Next Level is highly selective in the primary care providers and specialists we refer our patients to for follow-up care.

Physician partners in our referral program are approved based on the following criteria:

  • Experience: number of years in practice, board certifications, membership in good standing of Harris County Medical Society or Texas Medical Society
  • Size of practice: number of patients, ability to accept new patients, availability of next-day appointments
  • Size of staff: number of doctors, nurses and other providers
  • Insurance and payment options: all major insurers accepted, cash options for patients without insurance
  • Location(s) of the practice
  • Quality of the practice: general condition of the facilities, including cleanliness, size and quality of waiting room and exam rooms
  • Reciprocity: demonstrated commitment to refer patients to Next Level Urgent Care for after-hours care, including recommending  Next Level in select promotional materials, just as Next Level is recommending the physician’s practice
